Job Description

The Meek School of Journalism and New Media, home to vibrant and growing undergraduate and graduate degrees in Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC), seeks an experienced professional to help expand the reach of the program. The ideal candidate for this tenure-track position is a leader with a background in development, entrepreneurship, real estate, business, sales, marketing and related disciplines and a track record of successful research and teaching. This person must be capable of making significant contributions in the fields of real estate promotion and development, as well as the broader mission of the School.

Job Responsibilities

Teaching, scholarship and service are the responsibilities of this position. Teaching will include classes on topics such as real estate promotion and branding, real estate business development, real estate acquisitions/transactions, and an ability to teach courses on a wider range of IMC topics. Experience and interest in other IMC program disciplines is desirable.
This person will also provide academic advising as assigned, must act as a mentor to students and must develop and maintain a steady stream of scholarly or creative work.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. (expected completion by June 30, 2018, is acceptable) and have experience in developing and managing a real estate program. Applicants should possess a proven track record of original research and publications and must provide evidence of a strong commitment to scholarship, effective teaching, and service.
