Job Description

This is a full-time faculty appointment in the CISS with administrative, teaching, research, and service duties.

Job Responsibilities

The Director’s duties are to lead and administer an academic minor in intelligence and security studies, manage Center faculty and staff toward its mission, partner with University and external stakeholders, and facilitate co-curricular programming related to the mission.

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in analytic methodologies and collection processes used by the US IC as well as a broad knowledge of national security policy. The successful candidate must also have experience preparing students for employment as intelligence analysts in the public and/or private sectors, experience or demonstrated capacity in administration, and a demonstrated ability to engage in interdisciplinary, intelligence studies research. Minimum requirements include a terminal degree in a field related to intelligence analysis, 5 years of employment including significant leadership experience within the IC, and prior teaching experience in intelligence studies or a related field. Applicants holding a Ph,D. with a demonstrated academic and scholarly record commensurate with appointment to a tenure position and currently holding tenure will be eligible for appointment with tenure at the appropriate faculty rank in the applicable department within the university.
