Job Description

A research associate for assessment and planning provides evaluation expertise and assistance to various constituencies of the Center for Educational Research and Evaluation at the University of Mississippi, under the direction of the center director. The research associate supports ongoing evaluation research projects through systematic collection of evidence and preparation of reports, utilizing both common and specialty software.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide consultation and support services to center faculty, staff, and clients on issues related to evaluation, including program development and outcomes.
• Collect and analyze research data related to evaluation of program effectiveness, programmatic evaluation of grant-related projects, and training programs. This includes some travel throughout the state to support project related activities.
• Some travel throughout the state to support project related activities.
• Provide support for research initiatives, including identifying and evaluating program outcomes.
• Provide data analyses and reports for evaluation reports, grant reports, and research briefs.
• Provide evaluation-related support for programs with which the center is engaged in evaluation research initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:
• Master’s degree in education, social sciences, or related field.
AND
Experience:
• Experience in educational measurement or program evaluation.
• Ability to organize data and communicate statistical concepts to non-statisticians through data visualization.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Responsive, accountable, and innovative.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with evaluation of training programs.
• Database and statistical package familiarity.
