Job Description

The successful candidate will publish research in area of specialization, pursue external funding, develop resources to provide on-going support for research activities, teach undergraduate and graduate classes in area of expertise, advise undergraduate and graduate majors, and serve on departmental and university committees.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the position include: teaching undergraduate and graduate classes in area of expertise, publishing research in area of specialization, pursuing external funding, developing resources to provide on-going support for research activities, advising undergraduate and mentoring graduate majors, and serving on departmental and university committees.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified applicants should possess (1) an earned doctorate in Sports Administration (Sports Analytics Cognate) or closely related field as of contract start date (August, 2018 with January 2018 possibility), (2) teaching ability and experience in higher education, (3) an established record of scholarship, and (4) potential to obtain external funding for scholarly activities. The preferred candidate will possess expertise in sports data science, big data analytics, and/or advanced statistics/econometrics.
