Job Description

The University of Mississippi Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is currently accepting applications for a 9-month Clinical Assistant Professor (non-tenure track). Candidates must have a PhD in Speech Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech Science or a closely related field, and is licensed as a SLP-CCC.

Job Responsibilities

This individual will be expected to provide clinical and academic support, student supervision and research productivity. Additional summer responsibilities are required with additional compensation. The candidate will be required to teach and provide clinical supervision to graduate and/or undergraduates in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. In addition to their clinical and teaching responsibilities the successful candidate will have a 10% research effort requirement which can include clinical and collaborative research activities and publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Speech Language Pathology (or a closely related field) and be a licensed clinical SLP-CCC with a Certificate of Clinical Competency. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to education, citizenship and competence as a clinician.
