Job Description

This is a nine-month, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Hospitality Management (NHM) (nhm.olemiss.edu) to support the departmental doctoral program. Applicants must have Ph.D. in Nutrition or closely related field. Specialization in sport nutrition, nutrient metabolism, nutrition policy, child nutrition, or closely related area required. Excellence in research and teaching is expected, including an ability to secure extramural funding to support scholarly endeavors.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include developing or maintaining an independent research program (i.e., securing funding, publishing in high-quality, refereed journals), teaching in undergraduate and/or graduate courses, mentoring and service to the Department/School/University, professional field, and community.

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. in Nutrition or closely related field. ABD will be considered, and Ph.D. must be completed by start date. Candidate must demonstrate commitment to scholarship, teaching, and service. Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RD/RDN) credential required for those in clinical nutrition.
